Poker has gained attention as a mind sport and as a healthy culture that develops strategic thinking and international exchange beyond the boundaries of entertainment and competition. Alongside the growth of tournament markets in other Asian countries, Japan has also seen an increase in the number of players, diversification of events, and expanded opportunities to participate in international competitions.
At the same time, Japan needs further development of systems and institutions, standardization of industry rules, and improvement of social recognition. For the sustainable development of the industry, it is essential to establish operational standards rooted in legal compliance and to build an environment through public-private cooperation.
JPBA aims to enhance the value of poker as a mind sport and to build a healthy, open industrial foundation through cross-industry collaboration.
